Welcome to The Community Series

The Community Series is a sequence of events such as seminars, workshops, and conferences about topics important to community leaders. It is designed to give community leaders the information and connections needed to be effective stewards of their communities.

Leaders emerge from a variety of segments within the community. These individuals are talented and dedicated, but seldom have any exposure to the resources, strategies, or contacts for building strong and sustainable communities. The Community Series was developed to address this information gap and to insure that community leaders have the tools to optimize the talent in the community. Moreover, the Community Series provides a networking forum among community leaders throughout southwest Iowa. 

The inaugural event of the Community Series was the Tiny Town Conference held at Iowa Western Community College.
